WAITING!!!

I HATE THIS STUPID BABY TICKER ACROSS THE TOP OF OUR BLOG. I WAS SO EXCITED TO PUT UP THE COUNT DOWN...TODAY IT MAKES ME CRAZY, IT NEEDS AN OVERDUE BUTTON!!!
Okay...who ever said 40 weeks and you were done??? I'm still waiting. I went to the Dr. this afternoon and he said that everything was going great and he wasn't worried a bit, that babies ALWAYS come....

Easy for him to say! He is going to induce me on NEXT Tuesday evening if I haven't delivered on my own by then. So my light at the end of the tunnel is 6 days away.

If you have any ideas on how to move this along, I'm open to suggestions! I've tried everything that I know of! I even ran around the block tonight (I waited for dark, so as not to startle anyone or be a freak show...a nine month pregnant Jan running down the street is a funny sight, I am sure!)

Flint will post when she gets here! Wish us luck!

Here is a picture of Cooper and I taken last night at Christy Lynn's wedding. My nose is about to pop! I seriously think that by next Tuesday I will have stretch marks on my nose!

Well, mowing the lawn worked for me. Actually it sent me into labor 4 weeks early. I really wasn't trying to go into labor, Brian was in the Master's program and very busy, and the lawn looked so bad the neighbors were starting to snicker!!! Hold in there, we are all praying you'll go sooner than tuesday.

Okay Jan there is something that I have heard works. Have Flint give you a foot massage. And he needs to do it rather firmly. there is believed to be pressure points in your feet that can induce labor, If I remember correctly it is on the bottom of your heel. Hey anything is worth a try at this point. Maybe four wheeling would work :) . Or you can always do the through back of taking black cohash (I don't know if I spelled that correctly) Good luck!

HAHAHA picturing you running down the street had me laughing out loud... I mean... that's not funny. Sorry. You're almost done! But remember how much you wanted her to come once she gets here because things are about to get cuh-razy!

Hazel is right. Find a massage therapist or chiropractor that will massage the correct pressure points that will help begin labor. I went the day before I was induced with Jarred. I wish I would have gone earlier because I think it really helped but they had already scheduled to induce me the next morning. The extreme way is to drink Castro Oil. I never would do that but I had several friends that did. But like your doctor said baby's come when baby's are ready. Nathan came 2 weeks early and Paige and Jarred were both 6 days late.

Oh Jan you poor thing. Brittany told me you were worried about your nose...haha. But let me tell you, mine was HUGE! And it went back to normal not long after. And I think you are okay with the stretch marks...if my ankles got as big as they did without stretch marks, your little nose should be just fine. I understand the misery though, so good luck and hopefully it wont be too much longer!!

My sister drank castor oil, which scares me, but it worked. I personally wouldn't suggest it though. I think you two just need a sitter for Cooper and get busy if you know what I mean... :) It really is supposed to induce labor. Good luck! hehehe

Jan, I'm so sorry! No matter what anyone says, these will be long hours until she's here. Then, time will go by too fast. Why can't life be more balanced? Good luck. You are such a strong woman!

Okay, so I've tried everything everyone's suggested already except for the black cohosh and the castor oil. Nothing worked. I did have contractions when I drank some raspberry herbal tea, had someone give me a massage, and when we had a little fun at bedtime. But nothing put me into labor. All these things just gave me enough contractions so I couldn't sleep at night. Talking to a doctor, the castor oil works 50% of the time (not great odds), but you usually end up making a mess all over when it does work, so I wouldn't suggest it for yours and your doctor's sakes. Joy was exactly one week late and I went into labor on my own on the morning I was supposed to be induced. My advice is to enjoy being able to run out the door without having to pack a diaper bag for these last few days.

Hang in there, Jan! I've heard that eating a whole package of Oreo cookies can put you into labor (but it never worked for me)- HA! The other thing that is supposed to work is spending a little "alone time" with the hubby, wink* wink*.
Either way - you're right the baby WILL eventually be here. Can't wait to hear from you guys! I will be checking back on Tuesday!

All I have to say is that it was soo fun to see you while I was there and it was even good to have you and Cooper join us at my sister's wedding, but DARN that little girl . . . I was just sure I would get to meet her and hold her before I left (4 days past your due date! ) Anyway, good luck tomorrow. With the way things are going, you will probably go into labor on your own late tonight just before the Dr. would have done it for you. She's a little stubborn, but I'm sure she's DARN CUTE!! Can't wait to see the pictures up!

Brent was 15 days overdue. Mike drove on all the bumpy roads (made me miserable) and all to no avail. It is warm and cozy in there and she is in no hurry to make an appearance. If you ran and nothing.....she is waiting for the grand appearance when she has everyone's attention.
