Spontaneous little vacation

Have you ever just wanted to get away??? I did last Thursday!!!
So last Thursday after swim lessons, Flint and I were sitting on the back porch watching Cooper and his friend Caleb swim and I told Flint..."lets go somewhere!" I thought that maybe it would be fun to go to Prescott and stay in a hotel and while we were there we could check out places to take our trailer and just hang out. Flint says "Ya we can do that or we can drive a few more hours and go to San Diego!" I told him to find us a nice hotel for a good price and I'm in! This was about 12:30. We were packed and in the car on our way by 2:30! (not bad considering we had to feed Arlee, eat lunch, pack, take Caleb home, and find a hotel)
We had SOOO much fun. We got there Thursday about 8:30pm and just hung out in the hotel. We woke up Friday and decided to go to Sea World. It was a ton of fun. Cooper LOVED it! He was so excited to see all the "sea creatures" he loved Ship Wreck Rapids (where you get wet riding these big tire looking things) but when it came to riding the roller coaster he had a love/hate relationship with it. He didn't like the dark, or the unknown, but when he could see what was gonna happen, he LOVED it! I rode it with him and decided that it hurt my incisions (from my gall bladder surgery 2 weeks prior) to much to ride it again! I have to admit I guess I'm just not as much of an adrenaline junkie as I used to be. I think that next time I will stick to riding the tea cups with him! We stayed there ALL DAY and saw the night shows. They were AWESOME. I absolutely LOVED Cirque de la Mer. It is the show that is done down on the bay/ocean. It was amazing to watch these guys perform. We also the LOVED Ignight. It is the nighttime dolphin show. It was spectacular! Arlee held so still watching it. I was so surprised!
We got back to our hotel about 10pm and crashed! The next day we went to Children's Beach (we call it seal beach, because there are most always seals on the beach). We played there for a couple of hours. Cooper was nervous about the ocean, as the day before he had seen all the creatures that lived in the ocean and was a little worried that they might get him. After a few minutes he decided that he LOVED it and had a great time playing in the ocean and in the sand. Arlee got to hang out in her stroller the whole time, cuz I didn't want her to get sunburned! We headed home about 4pm. It was a great little trip...we decided it was a little too short, we needed one more day!

Good times

Cooper and his second cousin Rylee had what they called a "PIRATE PICNIC" in the backyard the other day. It consisted of water and gold fish crackers! We love it when our cousins come and stay with us. Cooper is always sad when his "cousin friends" have to go home!

This is what happens to Arlee's skirt when dad changes her. She ends up with things where they don't belong

We went to Thatcher for Big Bucks blessing. (Dale and Amanda's baby boy Eli.) I Failed to get the camera out on Sunday.
On Saturday we got to go on another ROGERS BROTHERS ADVENTURE. Sam's Family, Dale's Family and us went to the river and played...the kids all had a great time playing together! It is ALWAYS guaranteed to be a fun time when the brothers are together...you never know what will happen!
Cooper, Joy and Lucy playing in the dirt.
Sam holding Will, Cooper, Flint and Joy in the river.
Look a WATER DOG--Cooper swimming in the River. It took a few minutes for him to get used to the river. He didn't like that he couldn't see the bottom. He is such a city boy!

LOOK 3 WATER BUFFALO!!! These SPECIAL BOYS (Dale, Sam and Flint) trying to see who can stick their stomachs out of the water the most! Something women would NEVER do! I'm not sure where they come up with these contests!
This is me walking Ivan the IV while I was waiting to have my gall bladder taken out!

This is Arlee with the handsome Cole Isaacson (Bryna and Tyler's Baby) This was taken on Fathers Day. Cole was 9 days old and Arlee is 5 months old. We LOVE having these guys here in Mesa with us and wish that they were going to be here longer!
Arlee went swimming for the first time today. She absolutely LOVED it! She had a great time. The most surprising thing was that she didn't even cry when Cooper would splash her. She is such a good baby. I can't believe that my baby is 5 months old! Flint is holding her...any guesses where she gets her WHITE skin????

Cooper loves to swim under water!
This had been a fun month of swim classes, hospital visits and fun time together as a family!

You never know...

so...here is my sad story! On Wednesday evening, I started feeling like a didn't feel so well, so I took 2 Advil and went to bed! At about 3am and 5 hours of rolling around in my bed, I woke up Flint and told him I couldn't take the pain anymore, so we decided to go to the ER. This is the 1st time at I have EVER been to the ER (hopefully the LAST) So here it is Friday afternoon and I am still in the HOSPITAL! They did a "procedure" where they went down my throat and got out some stones that were blocking my pancreas and who knows what else it was blocking... now I am WAITING to have my gallbladder out on Saturday morning. Did I say that I HATE the hospital, it is so boring. I feel fine and would much rather be home. I MISS my Arlee bug and Cooper. I am so in debt to Isaac and Jenny for watching our kids. You guys are GREAT! They came to stay at our house and I leave and go to the hospital!!! They told me that I can go home after the surgery on Saturday! YIPPEE!!! I cant wait! This is NOT the vacation that I was wanting!

Arlee is 4 months old

Arlee is 4 months old.  We took some  pictures of her while we were in Thatcher last week.  I can't believe how big she is getting.  I LOVE that she smiles with her mouth WIDE open most of the time.  Here are a few of my favorites!

Cooper before he was bribed with a snow cone and after the bribe!!!
(can you tell that Flint and I yelled at him" TURN YOUR HEAD AND SMILE AT ME NOW!)

Major Catching up...hope you have a few minutes!

Matt Whatcott turned 40!!!

Flint, Me and Arlee
Lisa and Spencer
If Darcy would have held still for a second, I would have gotten a picture of her and Matt together!
When did I get old enough to have friends that are turning 40???

Cooper got to take something for show and tell on his birthday at school.  I asked him if he was going to take his new skate board.  He said NO!  I want to take ARLEE!  So I let him!  I cried when he stood up there and said "this is my baby sister,  if you talk to her she will smile and laugh!"  He was such a proud big brother!

Cooper and Arlee playing on the swing set!
Cooper got into the play pen with Arlee!  When I went in there, they were just taking way to each other!

We just spent 7 fun days in Thatcher with our family! Cooper had the time of his life...his motto while we were there was "so many people, so little time" He wanted to spend all his time with his cousin Joy, his cousin Lindsey, his cousins Callie and Gavin...he wanted to ride horses with Brittney and Austin, He wanted to go back to Paige's house and "un-bury her dolls", he wanted to play with Joby...he seriously would cry at night because he didn't get to do everything he wanted to do in a day! He thinks that THATCHER is the best place on EARTH! Most of his favorite people live there!
We went to my nephew Heath and Shannel's wedding reception on Saturday night and the played with the Rogers cousins on Sunday. It was a fun day. On Monday-Wednesday, Flint and I worked at Jenny's dance studio and took pictures of about 250 dancers! It was good times! Flint is so patient with these obsessive parents that have a gallon of make-up on their 5 year olds face and a can of hair spray in their hair! (much like most of his brides) hahah It is always fun to get out of Mesa and do something different for a change! We love going down and taking these pictures. Flint is gonna put some on his blog in the next few days.
On Thursday afternoon we went over to our old friends house and hung out with the Walkers. We miss Bracken and Kristen not living in Mesa. We had a ton of great times with them back when we didn't have kids and now they have 3 and us 2! Times have sure changed!
On Friday Flint left to come home for weddings on Friday and Saturday and I stayed to go to
Lindsey's HS graduation!
Cooper was so tired!
Shanna came home with me on Saturday morning.
I am so glad to be home and start our summer!

LAUGHING

Nothing is better than the laughter of children!

We had just gotten home form Costco and put Arlee on the floor, and this is what we hear when we come back into the house! I LOVE that Cooper and Arlee love each other! I have the BEST kids!
